Puppy Adoption Process

Before being considered for a puppy, we require you to fill out an application. This helps us get to know you a little better and see a glimpse of the environment the puppy would be going to. After sending your application, please read our purchase contract. 

**Please note: We are experiencing a very high volume of applications. Please answer all questions on the application as thoroughly as possible. 

After you send the puppy application from our website, you may send a $500 deposit and be added to our Master Deposit List. Deposits may be sent via PayPal or Venmo. A 3% fee is added for all PayPal transactions to cover fees charged by PayPal. Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE, but may be transferred to a future litter (up to 1 year from receiving the deposit), if circumstances prevent you from purchasing a puppy when it becomes available, or we are unable to provide you with a puppy that will fit your family. After you have picked your puppy at 5 weeks of age, deposits are NON-TRANSFERABLE and NON-REFUNDABLE. Puppies are picked in order of deposits received. Most of our puppies are pre-sold by 4 weeks of age. 

**As the breeder, we reserve the right to 1st pick of any litter.**

Your $500 deposit is applied towards the full purchase price of $3,500. The remaining balance at pickup is $3,000.

PLEASE NOTE: If, after reviewing your application, we feel like you are not able to provide a home to a Lagotto, your deposit will be immediately refunded and you will not be added to our List. 

The picking process starts when the puppies are 5 weeks of age. Puppies are picked in order of deposits received. We will send many photos of each puppy. We are also available to do Zoom calls to help you choose the puppy with the right temperament for your family. 

We no longer allow outside visitors until your puppy has received his/her 1st and 2nd vaccination.  Your puppy is vaccinated at 6 and 8 weeks of age. This helps protect the puppy from common puppy viruses, including distemper, adenovirus (hepatitis), parainfluenza, and parvovirus. We must minimize the risk of bringing infectious viruses or diseases onto our property. Small particles can be transported unknowingly on clothing or shoes and can threaten entire litters. After birth, we send updates and pictures of the puppies weekly, to each family who has left a deposit. 

Puppies must be 8 weeks old and pass his/her well-puppy exam given by our vet, before going home. Puppies may be picked up at the Salt Lake International airport, or a predetermined location that is convenient for you and us. Please keep any current pets at home. Full remaining balance of your puppy is due at pick up. We can accept cash or Venmo. 

If you are flying in to pick up your puppy and plan to fly back home with him on your lap, we recommend flying with Delta or Southwest. You will need a soft-sided travel carrier if you are flying home with your puppy.

If you are not able to travel to Utah to pick up your puppy, we do offer shipping. If your puppy is being shipped, delivery date will be determined by the airline and flight schedule, and usually occurs between 8-10 weeks of age. We will NOT ship our puppies through cargo. All puppies being shipped, must fly with our flight nanny. Remaining balance must be cleared before puppy leaves our home. Nanny flights are $950 in the continental US. Please inquire if you are located outside of the continental USA. 

Final puppy payment and all travel fees are due by SEVEN (7) WEEKS of age if your puppy is being shipped.  

We feel like puppies acclimate best with their new families when they are brought home between 8-9 weeks of age. If you are unable to pick up your puppy by 9 weeks of age, we do offer boarding for an additional $25 per day. Any puppy not picked up by 9 weeks of age must be enrolled in our training program or boarding program, NO EXCEPTIONS. Every dog and puppy in our care receives one-on-one love and care. Boarding program includes food, lodging, and snuggles.
